Most of the time, the paint on your car will become less and less perfect so slowly you don’t even notice. However, the time will eventually come when your vehicle could really use some professional car paint touch-ups. Here are a few signs that can indicate the need for car paint touch-ups:
- Faded paint: Unless you live in a state like Alaska or Washington with either little sunlight or extreme cloud coverage, your vehicle is likely to experience a decent amount of sun exposure. Unfortunately, sunlight can cause the paint on the exterior of your vehicle to fade after a number of years. Faded paint is a sure way to make a car look old and weathered, so you might want to take your car in for a touch-up.
- Chipped paint: No matter how old your car is, it is still infuriating to find the first bit of chipped or scratched paint after maintaining the exterior of your car for so long. Luckily, though, auto body and paint shops can sand down any raised edges that surround the chipped paint and apply a fresh coat that can either closely or exactly match the paint on your car.
- Previous poor paint jobs: It’s heartbreaking to find that the paint job you thought would be fine ends up being cheap and terrible for your car. However, the damage isn’t permanent, and you can bring your vehicle to a better body shop–like ours at Epperson Paint & Body–to rectify the poor paint job.
